Don Wood Trophy - Val & George make it a scorching success

Don Wood Trophy Congratulations to George and Valerie Finbow who won the Don Wood Trophy on Sunday 23rd May.   Played on the hottest day of the year, over 35 ends, George and Valerie battled through to win the first Trophy of the year.   Second were Dave and Rita Stacey with Jim Heppel and Joan Cooper third   Jim Heppel, Chairman in presenting the Trophy which commemorates a well liked and respected Captain of the Club, Don Wood, thanked all the members who took part in the all day event.  George & Valerie Finbow receive the Don Wood Trophy from club chairman James Heppel. This is the second time they've achieved this in 4 years
