CLUB SHUT for foreseeable future

posted 17 Mar 2020, 00:41 by Francis Czuba   [ updated 17 Mar 2020, 01:04 ]
Bantham and Ongar Bowls Club recognises it has a duty of care to its members and we take this very seriously. We therefore will be supporting and following the guidelines as laid out by the UK Government and Public Health England. These will obviously be changing as the national situation changes and we will monitor changes closely.

16/03/2020
Following recent Government advice and what we believe to be our duty to act responsibly towards our members and other facility users, we have decided to close the club for the foreseeable future.  We wish all members and friends well.  We will continue to follow Government advice on the coronavirus outbreak and post any updates regarding the club premises on this website.

The closure will effect:
  • All bowls fixtures, outdoor and short mat
  • All social events
  • All club activities such as whist, table tennis & bridge
  • All activities provided by hirers: Slimming World, Tai Chi, Stretch & Relaxation, Dementia Friendly Bowls and Zumba
We apologise for all the inconvenience caused but are convinced taking this action will contribute to saving lives.

If any member requires help during this time, and particularly if self isolating, please contact Sue Czuba and
if the club can assist we will.
